The formation of superconferences: expansion fever

Present day look of the major conferences.........and if the conferences ever expanded.. would they one day look like this? This is all just objective opinions. Any other suggestions would be welcomed. By the look of everything... Big East is shooting itself in the foot by allowing so many basketball members only. By what I have down as an opinion for future expansion, SEC would still be a huge number one overall in terms of a power conference.... Big 10 would be #2, PAC 10 would be #3, ACC would be #4, Big 12 would be #5.....then you have everyone else.

Here is the present day look at everyone...................

If say recommendations were made for the following: allow seven teams per division with the growth of all the conferences, 14 teams max per conference (6 games with each division member, 3 games which rotate each year with each non-division member and 3 non conference games). Play the 3 non conference games first then get into your conference schedule.

Re: The formation of superconferences: expansion fever

    Nope, that will never happen.

They will not destroy the Big XII like that.

I could see a couple teams moving around, maybe Mizzou to the Big 10 or Baylor to the MWC and put TCU in the Big XII, or add Boise State and Utah to the Pac-10, but it will never be as widespread as they propose.

Do you image how nasty the SEC would be? It would be unfair. A conference with Florida, Alabama, LSU, UT, Awwbarn, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Texas???

No team could survive that schedule to make it to the title game
